How Moon.com works, start to first bet
Moon is a betting-style trading platform from the team behind Stake.com, open to the public since late August 2026 (official launch date still TBA). There are no futures contracts, order books or margin accounts. You pick a market — crypto, stocks, indices, commodities or forex, all wagerable 24/7 including weekends — set a wager, set leverage from 1× to 1000×, and click Up or Down. Win and the payout settles to your balance; lose and the most you can ever be out is the wager itself. Here's the whole path from clicking a link to placing that first bet.
Six steps. One is paperwork.
Click a code link
Two mechanisms, one result. A link like moon.com/?c=airdrop&offer=airdrop carries both our campaign ID (the c= tracking parameter, written to your browser for ~30 days) and the matching offer code. Or skip the link entirely: type airdrop in the offer-code field during signup. Either registers you under our campaign; using the offer code — typed or via the link — also activates Moon's 3.5% rakeback on your account immediately.
Register
Email and password, or one-click OAuth via Google, Facebook, Kick or Twitch. Takes under a minute.
Verify your email
Moon emails you a code; enter it to confirm the address. Standard stuff.
Complete KYC
Required before you can deposit or withdraw: a government-issued ID plus proof of address. There's no funded no-KYC path.
Deposit crypto
Deposits are crypto-only: USDC, BTC, ETH or SOL. No cards, no bank transfers — bring fiat and you'll need to convert it elsewhere first.
Place your first bet
Pick a market, set wager and leverage, choose Up or Down. A 1% opening fee on the wager applies, and your live P&L already shows fees baked in. Full schedule on the fees page.
The bust: your worst case, in full
Leverage multiplies how fast price moves hit your wager. At 1000×, a move of roughly 0.1% against you busts the bet — the wager is gone and the bet settles.
What makes this different from a futures liquidation is what doesn't happen: no margin call, no auto-deleveraging, no liquidation fees, no debt. Your loss is hard-capped at the wager by design. That's also the honest risk statement — at max leverage, normal market noise ends bets constantly. Size wagers accordingly.

Who's behind it — and is it legit?
Moon is operated by Moon International Limited under an Anjouan (Comoros) gaming license, from the team behind Stake.com. So: a real, identifiable operator with pedigree in high-volume betting products — not an anonymous site. The equally honest flip side: an offshore gaming license is not a securities regulator, and Moon is a betting product, not a brokerage. The platform is in open beta, launch date TBA — we track status on the launch page.
Pricing & data integrity
Moon's price feeds come from DXFeed, Pyth Network and SEDA Protocol. That combination is what powers the headline feature: markets like SPX or AAPL stay wagerable 24/7, including nights and weekends, with off-hours pricing derived from those feeds while the underlying exchanges are closed. One more practical note: there's no mobile app — Moon runs as a PWA, so on a phone you use it in the browser and can add it to your home screen.
Six terms, no jargon
- Bet / Wager
- The amount you stake on a direction. Also your maximum possible loss.
- Leverage
- Multiplier from 1× to 1000× that scales your exposure — and how fast price moves hit your wager.
- Payout
- What a winning bet settles to your balance, net of fees — the live P&L shows it before you close.
- Bust
- The market moved far enough against you that the wager is gone. The bet ends; nothing further is owed.
- Rolling fee
- A dynamic holding charge every 8 hours while a bet stays open — Moon's equivalent of futures funding.
- Performance fee
- Minimum 10% of realized profit, charged on winning bets only. Losing bets pay nothing beyond the wager.
Fair questions
Is Moon.com legit and licensed?
Moon is operated by Moon International Limited under an Anjouan (Comoros) gaming license, and it comes from the team behind Stake.com. That is a real, identifiable operator with a gaming license — not an anonymous site — but an offshore gaming license is not oversight from a securities regulator. Treat it as a betting product, wager only what you can afford to lose, and note the platform is still in its "Prepare to Launch" open beta.
Do I need to complete KYC?
Yes. You can register with just an email, but Moon requires identity verification — a government-issued ID plus proof of address — before you can deposit or withdraw. There is no no-KYC path to funded betting.
Can I deposit with fiat, like a card or bank transfer?
No. Deposits are crypto-only: USDC, BTC, ETH or SOL. If you hold fiat you would need to buy crypto elsewhere first, then deposit it to Moon.
What does "bust" mean on Moon?
A bust is when the market moves far enough against your bet that your wager is gone — at 1000x leverage, roughly a 0.1% adverse move. The bet settles as a lost wager and that is the end of it: no margin call, no auto-deleveraging, no debt. Your maximum loss on any bet is the wager you put down.
You now know more than most of the beta.
Registration is open; launch promos are TBA. Signing up through code airdrop costs nothing extra — same rates either way. All nine codes are on the promo code page.
